I keep commiting mortal sins. I keep commiting the sins of lust and gluttony. Please pray for me to stop and for God to guide all those who struggle with similar issues and that he will have mercy on us. Thank you all so much!

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,

Mother of Tranquility

and Mother of Hope,

look upon AMcD in this time

of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart

to know that God’s Love

for her is unchanging and

unchangeable, and, that

true human love can only

begin and grow by touching

His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -

which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this

same Peace into the lives

of others.

Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
Amen.

I will pray for you, for certain. Please do consult a solid priest, however; if you “keep committing” mortal sins, it’s quite possible you are at this point doing them habitually, and that impacts one of the conditions for culpability: full consent of the will.

While this wouldn’t change the objective seriousness and gravity of the sins, it would change the way you should think about yourself and your path to recovery.

Check 1 Corinthians 10:13
The devil’s ordinary job is to tempt us. Basically, God does not allow us to be tempted beyond our ability to resist. God will give you the strength each time you’re tempted, but you’ve gotta ask Him. Temptation stops when we die. You’re now included in my prayers.
Peace and all good.

I pray that our Heavenly Father draws you closer to Him and His grace, and inspires you to better crowd-out and resist temptation.

Asking others to pray for you is a great step. Another great step would be for you to fully admit to God that your willpower alone is insufficient. And don’t ever let your mindfulness of sin nudge you away from God; it is the reason why you (me & everyone else) need to go TO Him.

Consider making praying for others each day a part of your routine.

Day by day you will accomplish this. Pray for strength.
The lord loves you.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.

Amen.
