If all sinners stopped going to Mass, there wouldn’t be a single person left!

Should I keep attending mass and going to confession when I keep giving in to my sinful addictions. At a certain point I feel like jesus would be insulted by my presence and I should just stay away until I am worthy enough to be in the presence of God.
I believe if you are at Mass it is because you heard his call & responded. I.e. he wouldn’t have called you if he didn’t want you there.

Also, are you just at Mass, or do you participate? The Mass is a prayer & I used to try to wedge in as many of my personal prayers in as I could.

Then one day I realized I’m messing up the most perfect thing the Lord has given me. I stopped “trying” to pray my way, accepted the sacred liturgy as it is & truly participated.

Also, do you say a Rosary daily? I suggest when you wake up & before you go to bed. & dont just say the words… meditate on the mysteries.

I still struggle with lust & chastity but not as bad as I used to.

Hey we know the feeling of not measuring up. We are ALL sinners…the just man sins seven times a day… So you recognize that your struggling in a few areas. Many people won’t even admit they have a problem. So definitely stay, keep going to confession. God wants you there and He wants to help you out. The grace helps you overcome. I think if we all think about our sins we are all probably very embarrassed. I know I am when I think back about my sins…what was I thinking… seriously…

I haven’t used it myself but for the pornography I heard Covenant Eyes is a good accountability software. Also try to keep your computer in a public space (ie in the living room). Keep fighting. Most sins can become habitual so weaning yourself off can be a process, but one which you can make real progress on in a stepwise fashion. Personally I found the rosary extremely helpful. And don’t forget, all of heaven rejoices over one repentant sinner. Think about that. You’ve got a class A team on your side.

Yes, I have the same troubles like you, but not related to lust and pornography, but it’s better to keep on being a Catholic and go to Mass, no matter what. Jesus loves sinners. Sometimes I pray to Jesus to know my weaknesses as a human and ask Him to help to overcome them.

Remember one thing, you are and will always be Catholic. That mark was placed on your soul and there is no sin you can commit that will scrape it off. You might be a non-practicing, a fallen away, a struggling Catholic, but, your family is always waiting at every parish church in the world. The Priest is praying every day to hear the confession of those who have sinned, to welcome them back!

Allow Jesus to love you. Look up “The woman at the well” by Dr Brant Pitre. One of the most moving talks I have ever heard. Peace be with you
