I logged my protest this morning, and Vanity Fair got removed from the checkout aisle

I logged my protest this morning at the local grocery store over the grossly immodest cover display of Vanity Fair and got it removed immediately by the store manager. I noticed how the register lady and the older woman customer in front of me and the middle age male store manager all quickly rallied behind my protest. The sense I got was how the exceed of decency and modesty that resonated with these everyday folks.

I am remined of the quote (forget who) to the effect that what is needed for evil to prevail is for good men to say nothing. As the devil keeps pushing the envelope, I for one am reminded and reinforced to push back where the opportunity presents. There is nothing normal or acceptable about having this immodesty staring at me or my children in my local grocery store check out.

If the magazine cover is too immodest for the supermarket, then I wonder why you see the need to post it here? I think your post made your point without showing us the magazine cover…just my .02.

Good job getting it removed in the supermarket…I hope you will remove it from this thread, lest children or, rather, any of us be led to a near occasion of sin.

I’m sure VF would justify their asinine covers by saying that the female body is a beautiful, work of art and should be celebrated. That’s fine, but I shouldn’t have to see it at a grocery store if I don’t want to.
