I was raised protestant, Southern Baptist specifically. I always had a calling to join the Catholic Church, but this was really revealed when I went to Mass with my friend…I absolutely loved it and felt Jesus so strongly. I was baptized at age 13 in the Baptist Church, but in 2018 I received my sacraments (Reconciliation, Communion, and Confirmation). I have found my Church home (a smaller Catholic Community) and am so happy and fulfilled.

I am disabled and don’t work, but find most days I go to Mass. It’s the least I could do, since Christ has done so much for me…

One thing I would like help with are prayers I should say in my head while receiving the Eucharist, how to be fully in tune and in awe while receiving the Lord…

Welcome home to the Catholic Church!

You may like the Anima Christi Prayer when receiving the Eucharist:

Nice to read a Positive post from a happy Catholic 🙂

When recriving Communion, i usually just say, “Lord, thank you for coming to be with me today. Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner.”
After communion I say the “Anima Christi” and the Prayer Before a Crucifix."

Welcome! I was Baptist until I was 60 years old. I came into the Church in 2017 and it’s the best decision I’ve ever made.
