could i get some suggestions on a good book for someone to read

the person just had an accident
she was thrown off her horse
her back is broken in four places
she has never thought much about God
she lives with a man for many many years i don’t believe they are married
she is a nice person
she needs God in her life

what kind of a book would be good to give her a long with a card and flowers at this time.

How about something not in your face but still suggestive like the Chronicles of Narnia?
 
Does she like historical kind of stuff? Would she be interested in something that might introduce her to the writings of the Early Church Fathers?

How about Four Witnesses by Rod Bennett?
