4 years ago I came back to our Church after being captured by Jesus. Took my littlle girl to Mass one day for no reason of my own and the rest is history. I have witnessed many conversions around me since coming back. When I first came back, Ifelt God wanted to use me to help him convert others. I never imagined He would impress this so deaply into my heart. Through much prayer and love I have a long time friend who was away from the Church, like me for 25+ years who has returned along with his brother, one of my sisters and now my wife, who is the last person Ithought…she told me this past week she too wants to join the Church. My parents have a re-newed vigor going on in their faith and another sister’s husband has returned to the Church, and now their adult son is going to mass and reading the Bible. Sounds too good to be true doesn’t it? My wife and I own a business and next door is a deli that is owned by a fund evangelical. I get these deep impression’s of love, and I think he might be the next one along with my younger sister who has led a real immoral life. All I do is pray , pray, pray along with my kids ages 9 and 11, and visit the adoration chapel to present to Him and our Mother these petitions for souls in need. Occasionally I get a chance to verbally share my faith but most is done through prayer and charity. This is not even half of what has happened. I’m working with a spiritual director who is helping me discern all of these things, as most of my spiritual life is done/acccomplished in solitude. I’m not a beat you over the head type revert. Please stay with me.

Next to the business we own we have a beautiful building that has it’s own unbelievable history . I’ve had impressed on my heart that this is to be a center for prayer and eveangelization. My wife and I purchased this building in hopes of moving our business into it. We were not able to secure the funds for renovation and many attempts to sell the property(the most enviable proprty in this historic downtown area) simply fell through. Iprayed to Mary that if she wanted this, this center of sorts to evangelize and pray at that I would see it through. My wife wanted to sell it to relieve some finacial burden and I said O.K. knowing that if it wasn’t meant to be then … Well my wife has cooled bigtime on selling it and like Isaid has just last week said she wants to join the Church. In front of this building I have a waterfall and two beautiful statues of angels in a garden setting…cont.

there are benches outside (which I make in the building to off-set mortgage costs, really beautiful mosaic top concrete benches…I’ve sold a few!) and I would like outdoor rosaries and such as well as a center for young a nd old to learn about the Faith. Plenty of new age places downtown and Father said it would be a good thing. I’ve been looking around for a statue of MARY THAT WOULD GO BEtween the angels. If I figure out how to paste a pic I will do so. I have the support of priests in the area and many others, but we need a statue of Our Lady to seal the deal so to speak. And so I throw it out there because right now I can’t afford one so if anyone knows of a statue, about 5-6ft, that might be used to glorify God in this spot, let me know,I’ll pay the shipping or pick up. I live in a sub of Cleveland. If not , may this message spread to all of you that prayer and love are the remedies against the evil one.

Peace and Love

if you pray for it, you will get it

if you are in Cleveland, get to Hudson and learn the story of the beautiful statue of the Good Shepherd that is in a shrine on the lawn of a private home there. the homeowner had a grandmother who was orphaned at a young age and cared for at a convent in downtown Cleveland which had this statue atop the roof, and it became a beacon of hope and symbol of Christ’s presence for this child. Years later the convent was demolished, and the statue ended up at Borromeo seminary in Wickliffe. As an old woman, she had one wish, to see the statue again. In a remarkable series of events, her grandson located the statue, had it dug up and restored and enshrined in his home - just before his grandmother’s death at over 100 years old. my grandchildren go to Seton Catholic School in Hudson, which is where I got details of this story. We visited the statue, with the homeowner’s permission (he is very generous about this, lives right on 91 Darrow Rd.). Very moving story.

Check with your diocese if they have a central storage area of statues that may have come from a church that was closed years back. So many in our diocese because of the lack of members have closed in our inner cities. That might be a place you can acquire a statue. Peace and Happy Easter!

I’m trying.Iknow a guy who works for dioceseat the cathedral downtown in maintenance…seems like everyone knows about this room full of statues but no one knows how to get in. a couple priests I talked to told me about this central storage but their leads wound up kind of empty. I’m praying. I think this would be an awesome testimony… a shrine in the middle of this little town where people could gather for prayer.

Peace and Love.
