That’s so wierd to write…

Does anyone know about any discount bridal shops in the Northern Virginia area, or any online places that can get you a dress quick?

Let me answer your questions first: No, it’s not for me–I’m a guy. My girlfriend needs one, but we’re not getting married (for now).

My girlfriend needs a wedding dress for a model that will be in a photoshoot next week. She’s putting together a catalog and website for her floral shop/wedding planning business.

Any advice in this area would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Try ebay? Look for auctions ending today and pay priority shipping.

Hi,

I don’t know if there are any in your area or not, but look for David’s Bridal. They often have a $99. sale. My daughter-in-law got an absolutely gorgeous $600. gown for $99. Catch is the size. Since she is very tiny, they had lots in her size. A more average size would be scarcer.

Or consider asking a local bridal shop to do a loaner for a “mention” in the ad?

Believe it or not, several stores have opened in the Chicago Metropolitan area that rent wedding dresses. It provides dresses that ordinarily women would love to have but cannot afford…check out the yellow pages in your area, one may be around the corner

I have a friend who wants to sell hers. You can probably get it relatively cheap. Send me a private message if you are interested with your contact info and I will contact her. I guess those things come in sizes…Not sure what size it is…I think she is about 5’4 athletic build if that helps.

I don’t know how many thrift shops you have out there, but they can be a good source of wedding dresses (and no, not all from the 70’s). 🙂 There are a lot of new ones floating around in the racks for very little moohlah.

I Don’t Know that Could I find something inside this Forum using synonym words instead of exact words.
I searched for synonym words in http://www.google.com and
http://www.boardexplorer.com and I found this Forum.
but inside the web site I could not find any intelligent search. you must know exact words to find similar topics
any one who knows something?

definitely ebay, and www.netbride.com is great to work with- that’s where I got my dress. Tell them what you need and they can do it fast I bet!

I got mine on ebay for 45.99 and 20 shipping…it is a 500 designer dress! It looked beautiful and I had no problems with it at all!!!

I bought mine (actually a gown for our marriage blessing since we eloped) on e-bay, too, for less than $50 (plus some more for S&H). It was beautiful! I had no problems with it, either.

I sold it at a yard sale for $10 to a lady who was mailing it back to her home “village” in Central America. She said most can’t afford a dress and anything that comes along is quite a special treat. I feel great to know that so much more can come from my gown than just that one days wear.

Thrift shop (Salvation Army, Goodwill, anybody). They have tons. Take it to a one-day cleaner if it is not pristine.
