I wonder how many Christians are actually prepared to die for Christ.
We should die for Christ every day, every hour… Die to selfishness, die to wanting to do things our own way instead of his way… Die to the ways of the world… etc…

. Show them how Jesus was and is always will be different than those false gods. If they show interest in this discussion perhaps you could move on from there.
Coming out of neo-paganism and back to the church, it was the person of Jesus that got to me. (That, and the sheer chaos of what pretends to be spirituality in those circles.)
Try a discussion on the historical Jesus first and then segue that into the divinity of Christ.
Thank you so much… I have never been “neo-pagan” so i don’t always know where such a person is coming from… i sometimes feel that that is why God allowed Protestantism… because people probably do best knowing Jesus as a person first (?)… i don’t know… just a theory i have been mulling over lately… The main reason he allowed that and other things is because he allows us free will… but God brings good out of evil… (division in the Church is a terrible evil…)
The Eucharistic Mystery of the RP might be a bit much for someone unfamiliar to wrap their mind around. I still don’t understand it.
I don’t “understand it” to an extent… either… but when i am with Him There, i understand many, many things… about many different… concerns… having to do with my life, my thouhgts, etc… I am a different person when i am with Him than when i am out in the world… SO hard to put it all inot words… In fact, it is impossible… As the old song says “And the things we share as we tarry There, no other can ever know…” (I am not sure that song was written by a Cahtolic, but it works…) 🙂

Whatever i htink of or focus on when i am with Him gets dealt with…His way… It is SO awesome… hard to explain… but needed… which is why i tell people about the RP… I want them to know Jesus that way… Protestants are really in poverty not knowing about this…

The souls in Purgatory are There with Jesus and us… Awesome…

We all ought to ask ourself - would I? Is my believe strong enough?
Jesus Christ took upon himself the most tortureful death we can think of - just out of love for us. Thousands of Saints did die for their believe in God.
I - would I if it came to it???**
I pray that I would have the strength to do so.

**We do not have to, and it’s most unlikely, that ever we will.
But many thought they wouldn’t, but they finally did.

Remember St. Peter on whom Jesus build His Church.
At first, when recognized, he denied to be Peter and member of Jesus, then the Cock reminded him on what Jesus predicted him, and he cried bitterly.
At the end he too was crucified with his head down.

We don’t have to, but we are urged to stand up and testify for Jesus Christ.

**And on this point of the Bible we are reminded of Angels; to be precise; OUR ANGEL the very personal guardian angel, so many think it’s merely a story for Children.
No it’s not. It’s very real.
When St. Peter hurried from the to him and all who more or less knew this Jesus was the Son of God, dangerous place, and he knocked on the door where he knew his people where, a woman opened, and in shock slammed the door again, and run back to those in fear gathering there, gasping; “there is the Angel of Peter”.
“His Angel” they at first thought, for all they knew from the old Testament was; our Angel looks very much like we do – could be mistaken for us.

I quite often ask my guardian angel, to help me fighting the temptation the devil is whispering into my mind. A friend of mine even told me: My normal guardian angel is simply too week to fight these temptations and I asked God for another, Angels to help my guardian angel.

Well, there’s really no need to have two angels, for we “have” God. But still we know from the bible, that even archangel Michael didn’t dare to speak up at Luzifer: Jude 1:9
But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, “The Lord rebuke you!”
