Wow, Darren, it sounds like you’re in a really tough position. It makes me appreciate my situation so much more–I’m discerning a call to the religious life, but in my case, my family is not only strongly Catholic but very encouraging and supportive in my discernment. I will be praying for you, and will also pray that God soften your mom’s heart.
