I was pretty excited about Catholicism before starting the process to become Catholic. I was pretty excited about Catholicism after starting the process to become Catholic. But now that I am almost through the process. I do not feel that fire as much anymore. I will not stop trying to become Catholic. I have decided that this is the Church for me. Whether I feel it or not. But I still wanna relight that fire. Any advice?

Just stay faithful to prayer. Faith isn’t a feeling, it’s an act of the will. In a relationship with a human being, you aren’t always going to feel the fire or the warm fuzzies or whatever. The honeymoon ends. Love as an act of the will is what keeps us together when we are not in love anymore. Faith as an act of the will is what keeps us united to God when the feelings are gone.

Well, it’s important to know that it’s not about how you feel, it’s about what it is.
You have chosen to be Catholic and that’s a good thing. But like relationships with a family or spouse, it’s not always going to be exciting. Sometimes, we just plug away at our relationships. There are highs and lows, but we continue to do what we need to do for the relationship to work. Hang in there, it may never be the high you once felt, but in other ways, it will be better.

A crisis of faith just prior to entering the Church is very normal.

Also know, during the first year as a Catholic, it is not uncommon to have a dark night.

Understand that emotions can deceive us, because the emotion has faded does not mean your Faith is not there.

The communion of saints makes me feel strong. At any moment a catholic can summon prayers from those in heaven for their intentions. This includes Mystic saints which you might find interesting. Saint Padre Pio was alleged to be able to be in multiple places at once. Try looking into mystics, it’s interesting.
