i need some advice

recently my friend was advised to buy a book on spirituality from Emmet Fox.
i am skeptical about this for i dont know much about this author.

my friend has multiple addiction including sexual addiction. he is Catholic but i think he is not very spiritual and does not seek support within the Church. he goes to AA and listen much to whatever they say. i know that AA has people from all kinds of faiths.

can anyone here recomend a good and simple to understand Catholic book on Spirituality for those wiht multiple addiction. he is not well educated so i need something very simple to understand.

This might be helpful, it is addiction help from a Catholic perspective (run by a Dominican priest).

Maybe you can find something on that site that you think might be appropriate?
