I hope someone out there can help me, I was online a week or so ago and came across a story of how a lady and her husband after being life long Evangelicals converted to catholicism. I did not have time to read the story and decided i would return another time to do so but unfortunately I have been unable to find it. The story goes something like this, they got the chance to go to mexico in the hope to convert catholic’s, but after arriving there and finding the people they were hoping to convert that even though they were mostly illiterate they all had a strong faith. The woman came to realise that even though they could not read the bible they knew it and lived their lives by it. eventually her, her husband and children were received into the catholic church. I think some of the words in her title were maybe convert, mexico and 2000 but maybe not in that order. I hope someone out there can help as i would really love to read her story. God bless. Hi: Sounds like Scott Hahn and his wife Kimberly. Do a search and it comes up.

Hi Geraldine,

I read a similar testimony by Kristine L. Franklin in Surprised by Truth 2. I’m not sure if this is the couple you’re referring to, since they went to Guatemala, not Mexico, but … just in case … here’s the link:

Hi Morwenna, Thats exactly who i was referring to . Don’t know were i got mexico from, but anyhow after trailing different sites online searching for them (in mexico), i decided to go about it in another way and finally found her story. A beautiful testimony of how God leads his flock back home.My sister left the church 20 years ago to join her husbands evangelical church, I believe this sometimes happens for a reason and this is what i truely believe in my sisters case. I also believe that one day she ( and please God her husband and their 2 girls) will return to the Catholic church at the minute this seems a dream, but with God anything is possible. May thanks for taking the time to reply and God bless. Geraldine
