Dear Brothers & Sisters:

It’s actually hard for me to ask you to pray for me, because it shows how week I am…

Because I’m “Poly-Disabled”, I’m pretty much unemployable. I’ve seen employer after employer decide that the number of “Reasonable Accommodations” they would have to make for an employee who fall asleeps 4-6 times every 8 hours, and who falls 3-5 times/year, is just too much and couldn’t possible be worth whatever I could produce.

Because of that, I’ve applied for Social Security Disability (SSD - 9/2005). After one of the most humiliting processes I’ve ever experienced, I’ve finally received a notice for a hearing by an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) earlier this month. It was at this point that I discovered that the Social Security Administration, which I repeatedly begged (and supplied with signed forms and addresses of these doctors) hadn’t bothered to send any of the forms to the doctors who know about my acustic neuroma or my TMJ Syndrome.

Well, I called and mailed and called again for a continuance so I could at least get the information on the acustic neuroma. The office of the ALJ TOLD me that I have a continuance, but I haven’t received the notice in writing.

Please pray: 1) That I do actually have a continuance and don’t have to go tomorrow; 2) That I will be able to get the information I need in time for the new hearing; and, 3) That, either way, I will be able to finally get through this humilitiation and win this SSD.

Thank you for your prayers.

Your Brother in Christ, Michael

I know this has been so hard on you. Lotsa prayers going out for you. Why do they make it so hard on the truely disabled and practically give it to those who really could work if they tried? Hang in there. Good things come to those who wait.

I pray Lord for a complete healing of Traditional ANG. Present them with the job you feel is perfect and aid them spiritually and financially. In Jesus Name I pray…AMEN

Father, please help your child Michael with his needs and intentions this very day. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Well, your performance on these boards has been outstanding. Maybe a job where you don’t have to risk falling down, and where falling asleep is not a problem would be the answer.

Work from home?

Anyway: I’ll pray that you get your SSD in the event that God does not grant you a miraculous cure. I’ll pray for that first.

I dont really understand what your talking about, but I will certainly pray for you.

Prayers for you, Michael. We are all weak, but those who are given an affliction realize this better. Remember St. Paul. You are in good company.

Praying for you!

Father, please help today, to Michael get the SSD that he needs. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

Michael –

I am so sorry for this difficulty. I can relate as I have had chronic health problems for over 7 years, yet can’t “qualify” for disability either. It’s so frustrating, and the medical exams are completely humiliating and just suck the life right out of you. Something is very wrong with this system.

I will pray for you and please pray for me and my family as well. Things are difficult financially with all my medical expenses, inability to work and not much hope in sight at the moment. I just hang on by praying often: “Jesus, I trust in You.”

Praying…And you might like to join the Social Security Disability Coalition Group. It has lots of good info and support for those trying to win SSDI cases.

Michael, my mother had an acoustic neuroma removed last year and, while the operation was considered wildly successful, it has really impacted her life and abilities. You have my prayers. I think the way AN patients are treated by employers is terrible, but that’s an entirely different thread.

There is a very popular support forum online for AN patients…I hope you have found that helpful?

It takes a STRONG person to jump through the hoops necessary to deal with social security, and to ask for help when they need it. Don’t be ashamed to ask for our prayers. You have them! 🙂

HE is a great and loving God who would put someone you, cecilia, here for Michael. Someone who truly knows the struggles that Michael’s is going through. I will pray for Michael because he’s asked for prayer, but I’d never heard of his disabilities. But, only our loving God could work it out for someone to be here who knows his troubles.

I love you Lord! You AMAZE me every day.

Still praying for you too Michael. God’s peace be with you.

I will pray for you. Keep your heart open to God’s love and guidance. He has a plan for you.
