I remembered a sin

If I remembered something really wrong I did years ago, but at the time, I knew it was wrong, but didn’t know it was mortally wrong, or even what a mortal sin consisted of, then is what I did mortal?
 
So, bring it to confession…there are many times when we wonder if we have confessed all we need to confess…it is part of the slippery and dangerous road to scrupulosity…if you are really worried that you missed something, and honestly were not hiding it, and you are unable to find peace, end your list of offenses in confession with an earnest (and honest) “…and I ask God for forgiveness of these and all other sins I may have committed.”

I am currently really scrupulous, and I really would rather not confess what I did
 
If this was a morta sin, then that means I’ve been receiving communion in the state of mortal sin for years?!
 
What if it’s something you have to be specific about, but don’t want to expose the priest to bad thoughts or something
 
Also, I guess my main question is, do I HAVE to confess it? If it wasn’t a mortal sin, then I can just move on
 
If you are scrupulous, please talk to your confessor. Asking questions like this on this forum will not help you with your scrupulosity. It will make it worse. An in-person priest will be able to help.

You need to be “clearly conscious that the act is mortally sinful” or “may be a mortal sin” for mortal sin.

Modern Catholic Dictionary, Fr. John Hardon
GRAVE SIN. The transgression of a divine law in a grievous matter with full knowledge and consent.

The matter may be serious either in itself (as blasphemy) or because of the circumstances (as striking one’s father or mother) or on account of its purpose (as telling a lie in order to destroy a person’s character). Sufficient knowledge of the serious nature of a sinful action is present if one is clearly conscious that the act is mortally sinful, say because the Scriptures or the Church identify certain acts as seriously offensive to God. It is enough that one knows that what one intends to do may be a mortal sin, but does it anyhow. Indifference to the laws of God is equivalent to disobeying them.
