Sure, Ron and Hermione getting together was obvious. I was always more of a Harry/Hermione 'shipper…not because of what actually was or wasn’t going to happen in canon, but because I just liked the idea of that pairing.

Buffy and Angel was an awesome pairing!

I also liked the conventional 'ships in Roswell. And they had such wonderful names for the pairings, too:

Max and Liz (dreamers) - they were soulfully dreamy.
Michael and Maria- Think a Ron/Hermione type relatiionship really, really done amazingly!
Alex and Isabel (stargazers) - just sweet!
Kyle and Tess (lamptrimmers) - utter cuteness.

So, CAF, I like a good love story, either happy or unhappy. What are your favorite romances and romantic pairings from books and television shows and such? I’ve been watching a lot of anime lately so I’ll start with that.

Two of my favorites are Ishida and Orihime and Renji and Rukia from Bleach. Neither of these is official, but the hints for them are definitely there. The first two have a very silly, flaky dynamic that just works for them, and Renji and Rukia are a great story of childhood friends who separated and then were reunited.

Also, despite (no, because of, I lie) it having a very bad end, I also have a soft spot for Captain Aizen and Lieutenant Hinamori. I know Aizen’s the villain and that he tried to kill her, but beforehand, when he was pretending to be a good man, it’s lovely and bittersweet.

Also, William and Emma in the manga Emma. It’s classic star-crossed lovers, but when they’re together and believe they can be together they’re cute and blushy. I also think Emma the maid is a great heroine, the way she’s willing to sacrifice him for what she sees as his own greater good.

Apart from all of the Jane Austin couples … my favs being Mr Darcy and Elizabeth Bennet.

I adore CSI and love the Sara Sidle and Gil Grissom relationship (GSR FOREVER!!)

I also love Menolly and Sebell from the Dragon Riders of Pern books.

I liked Harry/Hermione a lot when I was 11 But, that changed, I just started to love their friendship.🙂
I was really unhappy about Harry and Ginny though. I was hoping for Harry to end up with Luna Lovegood 😃

You know, neither Ashley nor Rhett were her REAL loves… it was always Tara. I think that’s why her “romances” with those two men never worked out and that’s why she was such a… you know…:whistle:

No, her real love was for herself.

Her love for Tara, such as it was (after all, how much time did she spend away from it, chasing after Ashley or living it up with Rhett?) was an extension of that self-love, because Tara was one thing that was hers alone.

That’s why she also took to running that sawmill business herself, in such an unladylike fashion. She liked to be numero uno, and Tara gave her that.

Catalina and Petruchio from O Cravo e a Rosa (El Clavel y La Rosa) This is a Brazilian soap opera based on “The Taming of the Shrew” but it takes place in the 1920’s. It’s so funny too, Catalina is a “feminist” all into the Women’s Rights and Independence movement and Petruchio is the total opposite.
Juan and Monica from the telenovela 1993 version of “Corazon Salvaje” 😊
Betty and Armando from Betty La Fea “Ugly Betty”, the original 2000 one from Columbia.

The list goes on and I know I’m missing some.
 
Yuffie Kisaragi and Reeve Tuesti from FF7: Dirge of Cerberus :love: My utmost favourite ever. May-December at its finest. I’ve written one too many fanfics with these two characters. 😃
