Christine: see if you can get your hands on the Stephen Byington Bible the WTBTS bought the rights to (1960’s or so) & published “as is” in “Living English” - very hard to find but is more like Catholic Bibles

ex. John 1:1 in the beginning… and the Word was God." instead of NWT “a God”. Byington used “Jehovah” all over the place but it otherwise is pretty sound in comparison than the New World Translation.

Jason’s book is the best.

They might not Have old Publishing’s from the 60’s , 70’s, 80’s & even Early 90’s I believe Each time they have changed their Beliefs They’ve also got rid of all their old Publishing’s you may need to go & see If you can find old Copies of old NWT Book’s online & On Ebay & some Ex-Jehovah’s Witnesses May have old Books that they can give to you it depends on if that person has saved those books though .

My husband became a JW 4 years ago so I’ve been learning all I can about Apologetics and their religion. The BEST book I have is by Jason Everts called “Answering Jehovah’s Witnesses”. After that, I asked my husband to get for me one of their books called “The Interliniar Translation”. It is AWESOME at showing them how their own scripture doesn’t match the greek and They are the ones who publish this book. It has a word for word greek translation on the left and then THEIR translation on the right. It is so filled with mistakes they purposely translated to prove that Jesus isn’t God in their bibles. I recommend that. I hope this helps. Ignorance of Scripture is Ignorance of Christ. Everyone should be reading the greatest Catholic Book ever writen, goodness knows many other religons are reading it. Since the Bible is a Catholic book, know that there isn’t anything in there that contradicts the Catholic Church at all.

Thanks I’ll write that Down Along with Other Books I have listed . I’m going to Buy Jason’s Book on Jehovah Witnesses I haven’t been able to lately But I"ll try to get my hands On A copy & A New Roman Missal …LOL

But yes I also go & Read Our Bible whenever I want to read the Bible & Stuff & to remind me That Our Bible & Books are The Truth & Not NWT/JW .

New Update they came by Early today due to Snow & weather anyway I gave them A List Of JW/Watchtower Books that I know of & She was like So Happy & was like Of course I’ll get you all the Books & A Few CD’s as well for you Next Time I come I’ll be given you those Books …LOL I was like Cool .

They are coming this Sunday can’t wait She told me about Their Brand New Kingdom Hall that she & her husband Helped Build the New Kingdom Hall cause her Husband I guess Builds Homes & stuff So they were involved in Building their New Kingdom Hall & so she was like You need to come down to the Kingdom Hall some times …LOL I’m like Maybe one day I’ll stop by she told me they have like 3 or 4 Different Countries in Different Language’s & things .

We Talk & Laugh Very Nice people but I’m about to Cut them Off Maybe After this Sunday Cause I’m moving anyway so i’ll have to Cut them Off sooner or later …LOL .

I have personally in the second was thrown out of balance, but the masses and rosaries and good solid material to help me straighten their own. I have a dear friend, a sister, who left the convent, to start a new order kodak 10, who taught me about spiritual great.

After reading & looking through JW Books & Having them come to your home & all I can see why some may Join cause They talk A good Talk about living in God’s Paradise & the dead Arising again & all .

This week I asked Them upon Birthday’s & She wouldn’t go into detail instead She wrote down 2 Chapters 1 from Genesis & 1 From Matthew & I asked her to Bring me A Copy of the Book “Reasoning Of The Scripture’s” which has Birthday’s & Stuff in it & She was like Sure she’ll give me A copy next time she Comes to Visit me .

However She did tell me That One can Eat Cake any time of the year Just not on their Birthday & They can Have only Their Name on the Cake or Something like For Example you can not Celebrate you Birthday but You can Buy A Cake & Have Something like For Example " Candace’s Day " on the Cake & Have A Day For you .

So I Assume One Can have A Day for them & A Cake , But Not A Actual Birthday party Or Celebrate their Birthday On their Birthday .

& Then she told me Something about The Greeks Saw the Candle’s Of The Cake as Been Wicked Or Witch Craft , Which I still don’t Understand How one could see Candle’s on A Cake to be Wicked .

She was like One day I’ll Bring you A Cake & we can Talk more about This Subject .

Cause I Told her I Don’t Celebrate my Birthday really I usually Just go & Get A Cake & that’s pretty much it I’m not big on Having Big Celebrations But its not because I want to be A JW But because I don’t have Family here & My Family Usually Sends Card’s But that’s it Since I’m older I don’t get Much So I don’t really Celebrate my B-Day .

Also in there Book " What The Bible Really Teach ? " On page 161 It speak’s of What parent’s may do to not make their Children feel Deprived of not Celebrating Unholy Celebrations Which States Some parent’s set aside Gifts & Presents for their Children & give them Gifts On other Days of the Year .

So I assume They’re allowed to Give Gifts & Eat Cake but Just not On those Day’s & they can’t Participate in Any type of Birthday Or Celebration’s they can however Accept Gifts & Cards Days After Or Before But Not actually celebrate those day’s because Its Unholy & not in the Bible .
