Friends,

After a couple years of waiting, study, and seeming road blocks, my annulment was granted and God willing, I will make my profession of faith tomorrow. Pray for me that I will always be faithful to Christ and his Church.

Praying from tomorrow night’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Reading Apocalypse 22:4-5
They will see the face of the Lord, and his name will be marked on their foreheads. There will be no more night: they will not need sunlight or lamp-light, because the Lord God himself will shine upon them. And they will reign for ever and ever.

:blessyou:

You had better be more than half way across by now! The Easter Vigil will be an awsome experience. Welcome and God Bless.

So finally i also did it, i just came back from the easter vigil where i was baptised and recieved the holy communion, and anointing with chrism, the confirmation will be later in june.

It is somehow hard to understand it acctually happened, usually i get very nervous on occasions like this and start shaking all over, but this time it didnt happen, i was just very calm, almost too calm i think.

It was difficult to show any real feelings, but i know im very happy inside but still have some difficulties to understand that it acctually happened.

But praise be to the Lord who has opened up the door for the sacraments to me, i pray now that i will have the strength to continue follow him in the best way i can.

Welcome Home. It is such a joy to welcome you into the family. I believe there is nothing so beautiful as the Easter Vigil Liturgy, where we celebrate the Risen Lord than with Baptisms, Confirmations and First Eucharists. the joy we see on their faces must be like the joy the apostles saw when they saw the risen Lord. It is truly an awesome experience to be a witness to new life. It is all of us that are enriched by your lives.

Welcome home!!! If you have any pictures you wish to share, check out my thread in this same forum!

Congratulations again!!

That’s awesome! Here is what I have learned in just one week of being Catholic:
  1. The Sacrament of Reconciliation is life-changing. Receive it as often as possible.
  2. The Sacrament of the Eucharist is life-changing. Receive it as often as possible.
Let me know if you need my “newbie” perspective on anything! 🙂
