Could these two versus actually be talking about our faith and trust in the Eucharist? Which is trully trully Jesus’ Flesh and Blood?

1 John 4:1
Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.

And it is repeated again, just in case one doesn’t get it the first time:

2 John 1:7

Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist.

I can see that as a possibility or he was referring to the Gnostics and those of similar false doctrine.

Now I think many of us, especially in the protestant cirlces have gone too far in preaching about the anti christ, and I believe the versus above show the truth within the Eucharist, as Catholics we believe that Jesus comes to us in flesh through the Eucharistic bread, as many christian churches fall away from the Church they tend to leave behind the truth of the Eucharist. Now I am not calling the Southern Baptist or any other church the anti christ church, but while reading this scripture, I think its obvious that some evil has come into play here with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ to lead them astray, the wrong path.

Some protestants today even preach once saved always saved to me that is the really big easy road with the big gate, but didnt Jesus tell us that the path we have to take to follow will be hard and the gate is narrow, and not everyone who gets there will get in?

Actually I used these same versus, as a point of debate on Carm.org. In actuallity if you delve a little further you will find that the key staement is actually present tense. i.e. The earlier King James versions used to say “Jesus Christ is come in the flesh”.

Earlier Catholic bibles also suggest a present tense to this phrase. I looked up the greek word in the texts, and found out it is Elulathota (something like that). Which translates as present tense.

So if Jesus is come in the flesh (present tense = today), then where is his flesh? Answer the Holy Eucharist. This really disturbed the Mormons and a lot of protestants, they didn’t like it, and abruptly tried to change it to PAST tense.

Not only that, just try and get protestants to repeat :“Jesus is come in the flesh”, even after you show them the KJV version, and they won’t do it. SCARY.
