I think I'm catching the flu

Hey everyone. I think I am catching the flu. I’ve had a cough and trouble breathing all week and now I have a sore throat and sinus pressure in my face. Please pray for me.

Holly, call your doctor right away and maybe you can start flu meds immediately. If you get them early enough, they can really shorten your flu.

I agree that you should go see the doctor. They can start you on Tamiflu if you catch it within the first 48 hours. It really helps. Or you could try the over-the-counter medicine called Oscillococcinum. I’ve taken it before and it greatly improved my symptoms within a day or two. Drink lots of clear liquids to keep yourself hydrated.

Thanks BaltoBetsy! Unfortunately, I can’t call my doctor since they don’t have an on call number and like most doctors, are not in the office on the weekends.

Thanks DaughterofMary! Unfortunately, I am afraid to try any over-the-counter medications because I take so many different prescription medicines. I don’t want there to be a contraindication.

Hey everyone. I need your prayers. I am still sick and I think I have gotten slightly worse. I now have an ear ache in both ears and a sore throat. I am also still having a lot of trouble breathing plus a mild cough. I’ve used my asthma medicines more this week than I have used them in a life time!

Hi everyone. I am continuing to get worse. My sinuses are bothering me worse, my ears have been bothering me worse, my throat is hurting worse, and I’m having more trouble with breathing plus a lot of chest pain. Please pray for me.

Hi everyone. I saw my doctor on Monday and she said my lungs sound good and that there is no sign of an upper respiratory infection. However, I do have a skin infection that is being treated with antibiotics. She told me that this antibiotic would also take care of any possible infection I might have elsewhere. So yeah, apparently it is just my asthma acting up real bad plus my sinuses are getting inflamed but not infected as of yet.

Anyway, I am going to Confession and Mass this morning. After Mass, the priest I know is going to give me the Anointing of the Sick. Please continue to pray for me. Thanks!
