This is a really terrific article, a sort of grinch-turned-good story by a gifted writer I follow on twitter. It’s so timely and I think many here may enjoy it.

I work for a large corporation where I feel hesitant to mention Christmas because of the uber-PC corporate culture there, but this article shows that it’s still worth it to say Merry Christmas.

I Turned My Coworker Into HR When She Gave Me A Christmas Card, And She Changed My Heart

Nice read, thanks for posting. I’m in the UK, and fortunately we are still able to say “Happy Christmas” and not “Happy Holidays”. I wonder how long that’ll last, though.

Thanks for sharing. Would that we all could avoid taking offense at others’ acts of kindness.

I’m glad this Grinch story had a happy ending. It’s just sad when someone feels a need to go to HR about getting a Christmas card with a little piece of candy attached from an older lady. I’d love to know exactly how this made him feel “unsafe” given that he does not tell any story about being harassed or discriminated against the rest of the year. But I guess I should focus on the happy-ending part.

It really is a happy ending. Check out Chad’s other writings - he is not a Christian but he has come a long way since being an angry “Social Justice Warrior” and is much more friendly toward Christians now.

I’m genuinely happy about that. I hope other angry SJWs might follow his lead and learn to at least be tolerant, even if they never fully embrace the idea of Christmas.

The funniest thing to ever happen at work was when our department got into a row. I work part time at a grocer while I’m in university and our department got into a row over whether to put what where and I went to get the department manager. They were shouting and what not, and he walked in, they looked at him, he smiled and said “well Happy Christmas.” It was like something out of Little Britain.
