Any recommendations?

I am only looking for good translations. I will not spend my money on an NAB (no offense). So something with an orthodox translation and orthodox commentary is what I am looking for.

Thanks!

Let me qualify what I said about the NAB. If there is a good study Bible that I can only get in the NAB I would probably get it for the notes.

I meant facsimile…too early in the morning, I guess…still a great study bible despite my poor spelling/typing!!

I would certainly recommend the Navarre series.

I would also look at the Ancient Christian Commentary series which involves participation from Catholic, Orthodox, and conservative Protestant scholars all of whom take a very high view of the Early Church Fathers.

Thanks everyone.

Just curious. Other than the DR’s is there another one volume Bible with Commentary out there?
