I went through a very rough patch in my early 20’s where I sank into a deep depression and developed a fear of even leaving my house and so I didn’t go very far for about 3 months. I did the traditional (meds and shrink), the non-traditional (hypnosis) but what helped me more than anything was hiking. Weird, I know, and I’m not saying it will work for you. But just getting away and out into nature made a huge difference for me, and I’m sure the endorphins from the exercise helped. It took time, but I recovered.

I continue to pray for you. If you ever feel like talking, feel free to PM me. Sometimes it helps to talk to someone who has also struggled.

Although it has already aired please check out EWTN’s last Jim and Joy’s show as they had someone highly recommended to discuss what you are struggling with. They should have access to this on EWTN- worth watching!!!
Prayers for you!! Persistence though hard shows strength. Weakness is only when we are too prideful to admit our need for help and persistently storm the gates of Heaven for help- such humility and perseverance touches the heart of Your Father and Your Saviour Jesus the Lord— I Know He will hear and answer your cry for help. Do NOT give up!!!

Prayer for a Miracle

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (Mr Lonely). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into Mr Lonely’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

I’m tired…so tired.

A hopeful person would say, “Thank God I didn’t do anything drastic.” If I don’t feel this, does that mean all hope is lost? I’ve heard all the arguments:
  • God loves you
  • There are people worse off than you.
  • You’re not alone
  • You’re family needs you.
All I can think of is, “If I wasn’t Catholic, I would’ve done it already.” Now, I’m starting not to care about that. Why should being a Catholic even matter anymore?. After all, it was my fellow Catholics that betrayed me…My family that betrayed me…I betrayed myself…

I’m sorry for burdening this world. I’m sorry for wasting your time reading my post. I’m a coward. A coward for not having the guts to end it all. I’ve tried doing things on my own and I’m not strong enough. Don’t know if I ever will be.

So please, someone push me over the edge. Give me that final push that helps me say, “I give up, you’ve won.” I’m tired of having a sliver of hope and prolonging the misery. I’ve been judged for years by fellow Catholics. Please continue to do so and give me the reason to do what needs to be done…

Dear Child of God our source of love, strength and joy,
No one has the strength, ability to truely love our have joy in their heart on their own- none of us. All we can do is humble ourselves before our Creator and submit our will to Him and His Son, Jesus Our Saviour. Our Hope rests in Him. I have prayed for you :pray:t2:

Eternal God in whom Mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your Mercy in us,that in difficult moments we may not despair, nor become despondent but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your Holy Will which is Love and Mercy itself.
