I want to write better

Hi,

I really want to be a professional writer, as well as teach better reading and writing, but I don’t know how to improve in this activity. I want to read as much as I can, and study and write as much as I can, that I may be a better all around writer. But I find that writing causes me a lot of anxiety and anguish, and I would like to learn ways to write better and use a method or process that works and allows me to write more, write with higher quality, and with less anxiety and stress. Please pray that God helps me to improve my writing ability and writing habits. Please ask for the intercession of St. Francis de Sales, who is patron saint of writers.

Oh wow. Me too. My father told me and a good professor to become a great writer you must become an voracious reader.

In addition to prayer, the best way to learn to write better is to write more. You have to accept that your early attempts will be quite poor, but like most other things, it will only improve with practice. Do not become discouraged if your writing is not at the quality you desire right away. It takes years to learn a skill.

In addition to reading, take classes on writing. Even a basic English grammar class (even if you already know it all) will be helpful because regular assignments that are graded will help you find your weaknesses and teach you how to improve.
