I wanted a photo with a priest but he refused?

I just wanna know your thoughts about here…

I had a spiritual direction with this priest and in the end I wanted to take a photo with him. But he refused and said something like “it’s better, bla bla”. I cannot remember the thing he said. When he said it he didn’t sound like irritated.

Maybe he doesn’t like having his picture taken. Maybe he is justifiably afraid of where a picture of him might end up (on someone’s Facebook next to 50 photos from the nudie bar perhaps). Maybe he was having a bad hair day. Maybe he was in a hurry. Maybe he felt it would be prideful for him to give you advice and then pose for a photo. Maybe he has people stalking him and doesn’t want pictures of himself circulating to give them more information.

I personally hate having my picture taken, so whatever the priest’s reason was, i sympathize.

Could have just been personal preference. I dislike it when people start popping photos at social events where I am not particularly close to them. He may have seen it as a little out of line. I realize many would not feel this way, but I personally totally get it.
