I was talking about the Latin Rite, because this incident took place in a Latin Rite Church. And by Universal I didn’t mean “extending into all spheres of Christendom” but rather universal in the sense of in all Latin Rite parishes in every country.

Whenever we are persecuted and humiliated, it is an occasion to unite with Jesus in his passion.

I hope you will be able to forgive this priest and even thank God for the opportunity to be like Jesus.

I hope you won’t let this unfortunate experience affect your faith life and practice of the faith

The priesthood is holy, but priests are fallible.
