Father L. said I should be turning cartwheels and inside I might be.

I am forgiven! It is almost tangible.

Do they sell the catechism on Amazon?

Yes!

I used to sing Blessed Assurance in my old church and I had no idea what that really felt like. I have Blessed Assurance right now, I can tell you that.

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
O what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
born of his Spirit, washed in his blood.

Perfect submission, perfect delight,
visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
angels descending bring from above
echoes of mercy, whispers of love.

Perfect submission, all is at rest;
I in my Savior am happy and blest,
watching and waiting, looking above,
filled with his goodness, lost in his love.

It is almost tangible.
It is! Well, it was the first time I went to confession after more than 20 years. Since then, it’s just been the weight off my shoulders, and the joy of being back in a state of grace. Thank you Jesus! :bowdown:

Praise the Lord!
Congratulation Eduardo, it’s a very good news.

Not too long ago, I made my first confession in 15 years. I felt like jumping up and down around the room. Sixty-something grandmothers do not do this, but I felt like it. Congratulations!!!👍

Dear Eduardo,
Thank you for sharing your good news on this forum. I am smiling and I’m sure others who read your words are too.
I encourage you to prepare for the sacrament of Confirmation now!
In some parishes, you might join a group of adults who are singularly preparing for that sacrament, in others, you may need to join a RCIA group (though you won’t “be” in the RCIA process). Just surrender to whichever opportunity exists to become more knowledgeable in the faith.
But in the meantime, keep praying, keep encountering our Lord in prayer and in service, keep being a beacon of His love for others in as many ways as the gifts He has given you allows.
Enjoy the adventure. 🙂
