Thank you! You took the words right out of my mouth. Esp. the more I studied actual historic paganism… How quickly the stuff I had believed about the “origins of religion” dissolved in the clear water of facts.John Cardinal Newman said (paraphrasing) " The more I studied history the less Protestant I became." In my case, the more I studied Christianity and history, the less " pagan" I became.
So many people have prayed for me, I don’t know where to start thanking them.Also, I had a great aunt who was a Catholic convert…I think that she was praying for me!
I felt that too, and when I went to Mass with a friend and watched everyone go up to the front I felt it so hard it ached.my soul was literally starving from being deprived of Communion,
That and answers I got here and a huge feeling of “it’s about time I went home” are a lot of what made my mind up. And a wonderful RCIA class, way more helpful than some I’ve read about here.
