Hello,
We at Priests of Beat have been hard at working producing a Catholic EDM/Dubstep album. Wait! Before you pull out the pitchforks for putting Catholic and Dubstep in the same sentence hear me out. 👍
There are many kinds of Dubstep and trust me, this is very deep, contemplative and wholesome music for families and those who love our Father.
Think of like a modern Engima but without the innuendos.

Anyways, my question is, what do you think of the name, Priests Of Beat? Its our artist name, and thus far, from the Notre Dame community and Catholics abroad, has been met with a very positive affect, but I wanted your (name removed by moderator)ut.
Also, for the album, I wanted to name the tracks with a Catholic flare but I don’t want to be disrespectful or offend Catholics.
Example, I wanted to use Beatification or Beatus with a play on Beat.
Or something like Weapons of Mass Resurrection
As well as a using such words as;
Raphael

Holy Name Society

Hierarchy

Leader of Song

Power of The Keys

Ardent

Liturgy

Chalice

Thoughts on how you would perceive this? Like I said, the music is very respectful and beautiful. All and any feedback/ideas/suggestions is much appreciated and welcomed.

If anyone would like to hear a demo or knows of a Catholic record label, please contact us.

Thank you

But are they anonymous priests? I’m not asking for birth certificates. You asked if that name could be disrespectful. I think it depends on whether or not the performers are actually priests. A lot of Catholics take a really hard line about respecting our priests and might be put off by a group that seems to be claiming to be priests if they actually aren’t. There are some musical groups that ARE made up of religious, so your name might be seen as somewhat false advertising. If your performers are lay people, you might consider the name Stewards of Beats as an alternative.

Don’t worry about trying to satisfy Catholics. Just because music is not fun to listen does not mean God is not happy with it.

Plenty of people just like you have came up with albums. Many people didn’t like it despite the fact it went according to all the Church’s teachings. There is various ways you can praise God through music and follow the Catholic Church’s rules.

My suggestion:
Jesus is the leader of the song.
Whether it be from the highest hierarchy down to the sinners and saints.

Yeah, I see what you’re saying. Yes they are actual priests involved with the project. Its a collaborative effort.
