Jesus is the name that was given to God the Son when He incarnated as a human being. But they are the same divine Person. Every relationship that anyone has ever had with Jesus, they have also had with God the Son, which is why the Council of Ephesus affirmed that it was proper to say that Mary gave birth to God (the Son) and is truly His mother, even though He obviously preexisted and created her. It works the other way, too; Jesus, the human born in a specific time and place, is truly the Son of the Father (not just because He had no human biological father, like one of Zeus’s mythological demigods offspring, but because the Son is begotten of the Father from all eternity) and the rightful King of the Universe.
