If a friend was using Facebook inappropriately, how would you handle it?

That’s an interesting development! Well, whatever the cause and whatever he may have been doing, I suppose he cannot really do that anymore if his account has been deactivated.

He’s deactivated it before for a variety of reasons, usually for not more than a week or so. His wife mentioned that she changed her password (she made a separate post complaining about how she always hates changing her Facebook password because she has to remember to change it on her phone and work PC as well), so I’m guessing he’s blocked from her account, too. Just knowing his history with this and other issues, I’m all in favor of him taking a break from Facebook for a while.

Okay, I’ve read up. I don’t know if you’re a busybody or have genuine concern for your friend.

But: the fact that you let / allowed / asked your wife to talk to his wife is cowardly and manipulative. How about having a conversation with him opening with,

“Dude, I saw you liked photos of X’s daughter while she was scantily clad. I’m concerned this may relate to your porn addiction, and in light of that, it looks. incredibly. inappropriate.”

No need to involve anyone else to save your relationship with him.
