If a person is walking in the flesh are they saved?

I suppose it would depend on how they might be changed between when they were doing this and when they died. There is always a possibility of repentance and of salvation until after the last breath. Look at Dismas the good thief.

King James, I presume. Virtually all the other Protestant translations (including New King James) use the term “authority” rather than “government” - with the meaning clearly being spiritual authority. The Catholic New American Bible uses the term “lordship.”

So the proper rendering would probably be something along the lines of: “those who despise the lordship or authority or Christ.”

As long as these people are still alive, it is possible for them to repent and walk in the Spirit rather than in the flesh. We cannot presume their eternal destiny. We just need to pray for them so that they may understand what they are doing and repent of their sinful ways.

I’m reading from an old bible NAB New American Bible St. Joseph edition 1973, it has much Hebrew references in it.
This is what it says;2; 10-22
These verses portray in detail the conduct of the false teachers. They are slaves of the flesh and its passions; they despise true sovereignity, that of Christ and his church(v10) ; they even revile the celstial beings considered to be falled angels (cf 2,4) in comparison to the angels in 2,11. Abusive in their ignorance, imitating bruts animals in their irrrationality decondant in their instincts, they deserve like animals to be caught and destroyed (v12)
I think the episstle was composed later when their were many false teachers maybe 100-200 AD ?
But if you switch over to Jude 8-11
It speaks of how even St. Michael the archangel left the dealings of the devil and the judgement to God.
And in 11 Cain Balaam and Korah were left to God’s judgement and were not directly killed by God.
It says this epistle was more than likely written by Jude not the apostle and earlier than II Peter. Just thought this was interesting.
