… they should be protesting outside Planned Parenthood

BLM the organization is a group aimed at advancing a progressive agenda. Nothing more. They care little for actually helping the black community, as evidenced by their ignoring facts and promoting causes which actually hurt the inner city. They need to remove the “L” from their acronym to be more accurate.

Ah, for the good old days, when you had to link to a news story to post in a news forum.
Not sure it matters any more, though Catholic Answers was much better 10 years ago. The usual response is simply posters claiming the source is biased and ignoring the story. It really adds no value in 2020.

You need an article link to post in news. So we moved to Casual Discussion.

You would first have to convince some people that an abortion takes a life.

But I agree, the name BLM just isn’t a very good one, IMO, to trot out every time a white person kills a black person. But it caught on so it must ring true for enough people.

I’ve always thought that the BLM title would be a good rallying cry for stopping violence within urban African American communities which have high crime rates. But whatever.

These were, for the most part, peaceful stabbings.

Sorry about the profanity. I thought the peaceful stabbings were more important to take note of than the profanity, so that’s why I posted this.

I totally agree. Black unborn lives matter. (As do all lives)

black lives matter as a notion I think everyone on the planet can and should agree with. Black Lives Matter the organization is where things become much more questionable with their LGBTQ+ agenda

Saying All Lives Matter is simply dismissive to the issue.

Its like saying “Why do people care about the poor but forget about unborn babies! There are millions of abortions! Unborn babies lives matter!”

Then someone says in reply “Yeah, all lives matter.”

See how it is dismissive to the actual issue and makes no mention of aborted babies?

Same exact think with saying all lives matter as a response to Black Lives Matter.

I heard this from the man, the myth, the legend of Catholic Answers himself, Trent Horn who used this very same description of why All Lives Matter is wrong.

I am not following the logic here. All Lives Matter is inclusive of all regardless of race, ethnicity, trimester, etc. The issue is systemic and almost embraces this notion of segregation (My side, Your side!).
