WHAT DREW ME TO THIS SITE WAS THE RESPECT THAT YOUR SITE SHOWED MY FAITH BY SAYING

{I promise to be cautious in addressing Mormon beliefs because I know how often the Catholic faith is misunderstood! God forbid we should turn the tables.}

Debra, welcome to the forum.
I really think you will enjoy your time here and learn a great deal about Catholics and Protestants, as I have. (remember to reserve CAPS for special occasions)

Only a Mormon would ask a question like this. Because Mormons believe in heavenly marriage (which by the way is entirely unbiblical) they assume that nuns will be Jesus’ “brides” once they go to heaven. And I mean brides in the literal sense. Christians in general would never even have a thought like this. I can speak to this because I was an active practicing mormon for 25 years.
hello Tmaque. i kind of hesitate to think that heavenly marriage is “entirely” unbiblical. there are elements within Judaism, that teach that this will happen in the world to come. its more from the kabbalistic tradition. they actually would side with our Mormon friends on this. the reason being, is because we are created in the image of God. male and female, created he them. that being said, it is taught in the zohar, (the Jewish book of enlightenment), that all of us have a male or female counterpart, called our twin flame. many people fail to find this person in their lifetime. however, in heaven when all things are back in order, we will be united to our twin flame, for the glory of God. i personally have no problems with this idea at all. just my personal opinion, that its highly probable that in the new heavens and new earth, we will live a complete and whole existence. things will be as they were in the garden of eden. remember part of the curse? i will greatly INCREASE your pain in child birth. which could very well mean, that even though they were immortal before the fall, and in communion with God, they still very well may have had children. just food for thought. Peace to you and yours. 🙂
