If political elections were rigged, how would we ever know?

We wouldn’t. The way the system is designed there is always a place for that to occur and there isn’t a way to fix it (It’s really difficult to keep track of 150 million ballots, but that’s the nature of democracy). But it would take both parties cooperating to accomplish such a feat. It wouldn’t be advisable to put someone in the position who couldn’t handle it; the American people would notice.

Nice question, I always like hypotheticals.

This is one issue that really bothers me. I really want someone to come up with a way to insure one person (legal), one vote (legal). I don’t mind losing but I want it to be fair and square… I’m for sticking my thumb in the ink bowl…

If they were working for the same “team” this wouldn’t be hard, though, right?
Not at all. Thing is though, they wouldn’t put the important people in the office; only puppets who smile and are good with people. Oo, sounds like a conspiracy theory.

waddayamean…IF?

Sorry. Couldn’t resist…

Great idea for a thread though…😉

wikileaks!

Relax, after all, the govt couldn’t kept Area 52 a secret, I doubt they could keep something like that a secret. Plus, it would take some serious computer skills and they couldn’t get Obamacare website to work, so we don’t have to worry about the Democrats trying to rig an election. 😃

Depending on how one looks at politics, they are rigged. The powers that be have spent several decades indoctrinating youth, twisting history, building a weak minded dependant society, etc. As a result, this is how people vote, exactly as designed.

If the rigging was sufficiently sophisticated, we would not know. However, there are and have been more blatant attempts at rigging, like blocking voters, “losing” ballots, stuffing the ballot box, and these attempts are easier to reveal and thwart with some vigilance.

So effective rigging would merely need some fake “incompetency” stories about themselves in order to create doubt that they were ever able to accomplish successful rigging…

Not to mention dead folks voting and people voting more than once, sometimes in different states. Then the federal government tries to stop all efforts to fix these problems.

Why would they bother rigging when they can direct the behavior of whoever holds office?🤷

Somebody would know. Somebody always knows. And if more than one person knows, other people know, because people cannot keep secrets.

We would never know, Ive wondered about this too, (along with some other Govt functions too). I think it is realistic that there is probably alot that goes on behind closed doors in DC that we have no idea about, and most of it is either illegal or wrong in general.

I think if we knew the truth of all that goes on in Govt, we would probably not want to live here anymore!

Ive been reading up on deep black projects, unacknowledged special access projects within our Govt and to me, this seems like a ‘get out of jail free’ card for just about anything anyone in Govt wants to do. Lord knows some of the bizarre and crazy things that have taken place under the guise of these ‘unacknowledged special projects’ Apparently they answer to NO ONE, so in essence, a ‘black arm’ of the US Govt does indeed exist and probably has more power than we think.

Thought exercise.
Your thoughts?
simple, statistics for the sake oecumenic offbeatness would not bite back for the first time. additionally, The Truth would be loosed sooner then expected.

God bless yah

Having worked for the federal government myself, I think that if everyone knew everything that goes on in the government, it’s not that we would not want to live here anymore. It’s just that we would be discouraged by the general inefficiency and often mindless operating procedures. We might wish for a smaller government.

Sure there are secret projects, usually in the military. The Manhattan Project comes to mind as the one that was best kept from leaks. Now, nothing prevents leaks.

When I was in the USAF, I had a secret security clearance, but it seemed to me that everything that was classified as secret was commonly the same things reported on in great detail by Time magazine. But I couldn’t talk about them!

Here is an example of secret government projects. In the 1960’s both the Army and the Air Force thought that we needed military bases on the moon. There were studies of using the moon for military and defense purposes. Many of these ideas seem perfectly wrongheaded in retrospect. Still, they were studied by the government. Here are some recently declassified documents.

Well, Ive heard it mentioned more than a few times…'if you can think it up, the US military has probably researched it, and this was some really crazy, bizarre stuff, like time travel, opening ‘windows’ into other dimensions, teleportation, telekinesis, etc. Now, I dont believe in all of those, but I would put money that the Govt/ military has probably been involved in some of this stuff without telling the public. Look at what happened with the Philadelphia experiment…that was crazy! I cant imagine what they told the families of those that died from that either. but probably not the truth!
