are we supposed to correct them?

I mean if somebody says OH MY G… or something like that…

Don’t correct them, when i’m told that I usually take the name in vein again until the person leaves me alone

Let the Holy Ghost guide you…I went on a pilgrimage and my new friend kept on using the name of Jesus in vain so I would shout out “Blessed be the Name of Jesus…” every time he said it. It was a bad habit and he didn’t realize it until I kept on interrupting with my little invocation. By the end of the weekend, the habit was gone 🙂

Other people you must just maybe keep quiet and make reparation in your head.

If someone insulted your earthly father I hope you’d correct them. Same for your heavenly Father.

I don’t think anyone would be offended if you simply said ‘excuse me, the name of God means a lot to me, please don’t use it like that’. At the worse they might just ignore you and keep on swearing. No harm, no foul.

I did say something yesterday. In a friendly way. it turned into a good conversation about faith. 🙂

And it wasn’t really quite taken “in vain”, the woman explained to me that she really believes God is with her when she says something like that.
