If the first sin had never happened, how different would we be? Would we have any amount of free will? Would there still be only two of us since there might be no reproduction? Would we have developed any form of technology to help us? Would we be warlike? Would there be things like money and greed?
war and greed suppose sin on one side or another (or both). Hence, if there was no sin, neither would there be war or greed, both of which always have sin on one side or another.
I suppose we could develop technology and have money. Remember, MONEY is not the root of all evil, the LOVE of money is the problem (Pink Floyd misquoted!)
But a more important question to ask is, would it be a “better” world. yes and no. had there never been sin, there would no human creatures in hell, and there would no suffering and death.
However, the positive expression of our fallen world is that it brings greater glory to God for Him to have mercy on us, love us in a greater way than if we had never fallen (SUFFER for us, on the cross), AND give US the power to love in a greater way than if we had never fallen (to love so much that we SUFFER for our enemies.)
Look at this way, if there never had been a fall, admittedly, all of humanity would never suffer and would always be happy.
but does it not bring greater glory and beauty to God to behold the martyrs, who endured unthinkable tortures and death, but loved so much that they offered their pains for the conversion of their executioners, and obtained some of their conversions on the spot? That is utterly profound and more beautiful than if man had never fallen.
Therefore a world that is forgiven and redeemed is a more beautiful world, despite its suffering, than a world that never falls to begin with.
