If you could choose any church to go attend mass in on a weekly basis which one would you choose?

I would have done the same 60 years ago. But the Mass they say there now is Novus Ordo at its worst.

The church that stands above St Peter’s house in Capernaum:

My local church. There is something to be said for attending Mass in a famous or historical building; but Mas is Mass and the Eucharist is the Eucharist.

Also my local church happens to be a Cathedral Basilica.

My own. The building isn’t the Church, the people are.

We worship in community.

It is amazing to look down on the ruins where Jesus, the apostles, St Peter´s MIL etc walked. The square in the centre is right on top of the house.

I prefer a church within walking/biking distance from my house or work or when I am on a holiday. All liturgy should be very reverent!

My mother’s old church in the neighborhood where she grew up.

The few times I’ve been there I’ve felt in tune with my heritage and my culture.

If only Catholics were in possession of Hagia Sophia!
They have the technology to apply the acoustics of Hagia Sophia in a sound stage now so we can hear what the world heard when the Liturgy was served centuries ago.
May God allow us to worship him in this building again, with the centuries of Christian music that the building inspired.

Have you listened to this?

I have! It’s incredible. I believe it was on Catholic Answers that I first heard of this! Thank you for making sure I knew about it. It’s as though ‘bodiless voices’ come and sing with us still confined to earth.
