It would consist of a government who’s only role was to protect natural rights (life, liberty, property). It would leave citizens to live their own lives without much (if any) interference. The only services provided by said government would be roads, police and courts. All through the local levels.

The first president would be Andrew Napolitano…or Murray Rothbard if he were still alive.

Me too, although I don’t know who the gentlemen are you referred to. I wouldn’t have a president, but rather family elders with a head elder whose only function would be presiding at a yearly all families conference in which mutual problems would be dealt with. Each family would discipline its own members unless another family group was involved. Then the head elder would be the judge, unless his family was involved.

Any form of human government of any kind is going to get complex, though, no matter how hard we try to keep it simple. The goal would be to keep it as simple as possible.

Funny you’re upset that only men can vote…but you ignore the whole part about the nation being a dictatorship for the first part.

You also fail to realize that’s how it was in the United States before the 1820s. Only property-owning males could vote.

Regardless, this is all fantasy, no need to get your knickers in a twist over it.

Why yes, Austen, I know it’s just a fantasy, but it’s the point that there are actually people out there who still believe that women should not own property, vote, or get an education and we have them claiming to be Catholic and posting on CAF. That is something that should bother every faithful Christian…especially when those views are being posting in the Social Justice forum. Also, I didn’t fail to realize that’s how it was in the US in the past- I opted to post on one particular aspect of his absurdity- but apparently I must have failed to realize there was an unwritten rule or a standard of netiquette that required I address every part of a post…

I also noticed that person is now suspended, so it may be a while before he replies to both me and “epan”, who also called out his misogynistic comments.

Around here where I live, it’s mostly owned by the Japanese, although increasingly the Chinese, as well. The really smart kids are taking Mandarin as their second language, these days, instead of French or German as we did when we were that age.
