If you do , how do you picture your Guardian Angel?

He started the conversation off with, “Hey don’t be afraid…” First line in many angels interactions.
" Fear not , Mary: for you have found favor…"
“But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid . I bring you good news…”
" And the young man said to him: Be of good courage, thy cure from God is at hand.”

I picture mine worn down until he looks like Charles Bukowski after not sleeping for a week.

Its perfectly all right to picture an angel as having a body. In fact my parish is Saint Michael the Archangel Church, and there are prominent statues there of Saint Michael crushing Satan underfoot. I like seeing them.

But I picture an angel as a spirit without a body.

i have seen the classic images of st michael with sword, shield & lance;

classic images; i really like these statues

but wouldn’t you think after all these millenia Heaven would’ve upgraded their ammo?

??

I wouldn’t count them out as such. I’ve had a couple of near car accidents where the vehicle moved out of harms way, seemingly without control from me. So you never know.

But I’m sure the spiritual protection is their chief priority.

This is how I picture my Guardian angel. Closest I could find.! I Don’t think they have wings.

This video has a collection of some of my favorite guardian angels images. The song is from the musical Into the Woods and has nothing to do with angels, except for me maybe. 🙂

I don’t think about my angel’s appearance or substance or anything like that, but I absolutely love him and feel his presence often.

I’m convinced that if mine came to earth in disguise, they would look like a little old Hispanic abuelita.

I look forward to finding out someday. 🙂

With everything I’ve been though, and to have survived the things I have, I imagine my angel has to look something like this:

I picture him as a masculine, strong, supremely wise, faithful bodyguard. He has the face and body of a man, but his body is made up of light, light that is prisms of brilliant colors, like holding up a Waterford crystal bowl in front of a chandelier.

I picture my guardian angel as a pillar of light. No human form and terrifying to look at.

Why terrifying? In the Bible, the first words an angel says is “Do not be afraid.”

They wouldn’t say that if they weren’t terrifying in the first place.
