That was hilarious!
“beheading methodists” and “crazed lutherans from Lake Wobegone”.
Puts that silly Rosie O’Donnell remark into perspective for her admiring audience.
 
Rosie is only the latest bigot who thinks that because she can take pot shots at Christians that that makes Christianity irrelevant, and as Mark Shea pointed out, she won’t be the last. She will die and the Church will go on. So why should anyone take what she and others like her have to say? Only because all such comments that were socially acceptable to say became the precursors to real persecution. But, if we are persecuted for the Faith then we won’t be the first and probably won’t be the last. The good thing is, Church will go on whether we die as martyrs or not, but we will be with the Lord while who knows where Rosie will be.

Della, if people scream this stuff long enough and loud enough people will believe just about any foolish thing that comes out of people’s mouth’s like that of Rosie. It’s scary to think what happens to our society when the next generation comes to power. Our youth has had their consciences desensitized with stuff like this. Morally offensive movies protraying sadistic murderous scenes and sexual immorality being shown! Just look at the school shootings. What will this generation do when they come to power in our society? Horrifying.
