From the age of 21 to 35 I was a diehard conservative. At 35 I started to question some of the conservatives especially the war hawks. I also considered some arguments for a government healthcare solution. I read a lot of books on the argument for a government healthcare solution, written by a lot of prominent democrats. Well, what I found behind almost every book/theory promoting national healthcare, was the person arguing for this had warped ideas of God, family, sexuality, subsidiarity. Let’s not throw out the baby with the bathwater. What I’m proposing is that national health care has become a heresy (from a policy perspective), that holds up the “good” of a healthcare over family, sexual issues, even the correct understanding of God.

The Church encourages and supports universal health care. So I don’t know what you are talking about by saying it is a heresy.

but maybe I misunderstood you.

It tasks courage and honesty to open up one’s heart and mind to new understanding.
God bless you for that…
