Welcome to the forums, but seek “evidence” for the truth and not to just prove or argue. Don’t argue religion with your dad it won’t work. I was into that movement and was lost but came back. Maybe the structure is drawing you towards the Church and faith. As you grow it is important to seek Christ so what will draw you to Christ will draw you to truth. The Pentecostal are like you said into Jesus only so think of it as being a baby and now you want to grow more. You are starting on a journey may God Bless you and continue to grow towards Christ. Your dad will never have it all to offer but Christ does through the sacraments of His Church. But this does not mean for you to reject your dad. Find an RCIA program and visit and you can get all your answers to your questions. You are just beginning and you can grow into what Jesus Christ has for you and only He knows.I’ve been born and raised a oneness ultra-conservative apostolic pentecostal, my Dad pastors a church. I know when I say this most people will think im just going through a “catholic” phase or something, but im 15. Im really into history and the great amount of historical evidence suppoting the Catholic church as well as what I think are inconsistensies in the basic doctrines under which iv been raised and the beautiful witness the few Catholics I know have lived in front of me have grown an interest in me! I’ve just started listening to sacred heart radio and I’ts awesome the way every thing seems to fit!!! buuuuut… There are still a few basic pentecostal doctrines Im having a hard time letting go and a few basic Catholic doctrines I’m having a hard time accepting. I was hoping someone who understood the apostolic pentecostal movement could give me some tips! Thanks! God Bless!
