I’ve recently began attending a Byzantine Rite church after being raised Roman Rite. I discovered that my family has always been Greek Catholic (traced back to 1650) and didn’t begin attending Roman rite services until after my mother was born because of convenience. So I decided to try a Byzantine church to re-connect with my family roots. I have to admit, I find the service wonderful, and the Priest’s homilies are just about the best I’ve ever heard. I have a Roman rite church that I like, but find myself looking forward to the Byzantine service during the week. I’m curious where this journey is going to take me
