What do you mean by “better”? Because by using a superlative of “good,” it sounds like you are calling “good” the action of smoking 40 packs in a day. Is that what you mean?

Aquinas died in 1274. Tobacco was introduced into Europe only following Columbus’ return from the New World where it was a native plant - along with corn, tomatoes and potatoes

In becoming a pupil of Thomas via his Summa I found the “answer” to not smoking anymore. Very interesting…
