Some of the harsh responses I’ve seen on this thread really almost scared me away, but then I see under their names that they were banned. Hopefully, that will make them think twice before realizing that all kinds of relationships work within this lifetime. I do not think that the original poster needs quotes from other sources to give him his advice, but only reassurance that whatever he and his bride make of it is what will transpire. Encouragement…
This is a very horizontal way of looking at life. We are a vertical people.

A couple can be married 60 years. Whether they get into heaven is another matter.

I believe one of the first respondents to your question already stated this, but I highly suggest not taking your advice from anybody on the internet in this scenario. Go to your church, ask to speak with a Priest or Deacon to discuss interfaith marriage. Explain your entire situation and ask him any questions you may have. There is a possibility they point you to a lay person within the church for an answer, in which case it is highly likely the person they are referring you to is something of an expert on the topic.

As a member of this website for only a short time, I can state with confidence that many of the responses found within these forums lack accuracy and consistency with the teachings of the church. This is only the internet, take it for what it’s worth. 🙂
