NOTE: the shows I reference may not be familiar to older members of this forum

I have a bit of a problem about the shows I like

Sword Art Online: I only liked the FIRST season, the seasons after that was as I heard it very tasteless except the military online spin off, however I have seen a tumblr post which was rebloged by a Catholic account

“You can be White, You can be Black, You can be Hispanic, you can be Asian, but You cannot like Sword Art Online.”

The reason why I liked it is because its one of the few anime/tv shows that lets couples go through the wringer, appreciate it, and just let that be enough without it becoming a boring sitcom or slice-of-life show, which often the modern audience thinks such things are only allowed in

It seems like stories like that, Inuyasha, Full Metal Alchemist, and so on are dropping in numbers and most romantic couples or one of them die for the “greater good”, “greater calling”, “motivation” , “Keep moving Forward”, or anything else that the modern audience keeps parroting. They keep telling me to judge objectively instead of my subjective feelings

But with how characters like couples and likable characters getting these endings and treatments in the past and more hard work in storytelling being put into them over happy endings, I really do not care at this point how objectivity well written it is

To me its like when the starving are given only scraps and then the ones who give them that say find a more tasteful cuisine

To me Sword Art Online Season 1 is among those scraps, its clunky and crude but it seems that at that time SOMEBODY was trying bring back the good old days. But then they chucked that in the other two seasons

I just am afraid of being called a crazy person because I am and people of my taste are trying to cling on what good left. I literary have seen those who share my opinion write this on fan forums and

It’s like how IDW’s comics corrupted and compromised the morality and identity of most of the autobots including Optimus Prime, instead of a deeply religious selfless fatherly leader he is a morally grey atheist who by the end of the war starts getting drunk on what I assume is an alcoholic variant of energon.

IDW may have given Megatron and Starscream eacha good redemption story but then they just shove SJW and tragic jargon down everyones throat and because its objectively well-written people can’t ask for a change because apparently that would be asking for a kiddie-comic

I have a link that could help me make my point

With all love and respect, don’t focus on it. A lot of us are into unpopular things. It’s one of those things you acknowledge it briefly and continue doing whatever you’re doing.

It’s a show… I mean… there’s (almost) nothing explicitly immoral about it. (Seriously, what is with anime’s recent imouto fascination? It’s really creepy…)

Most people hate the show for the aforementioned imouto thingy, and the bad second half. My wife and I actually really loved the first half of the series, but we couldn’t handle the second XD Kirito and Asuna were adorable together, I enjoyed their relationship.

They’re comics and anime, just don’t worry about it. As long as you’re not watching anything that’s actually morally objectionable, who cares what other people think of the shows you enjoy? I’ve enjoyed a number of shows that are just blatantly bad. (I’m looking at you, Excel Saga, you glorious piece of excrement XD) Just like what you like.

I have just grown ill of epics that resort to ragnarok proportions to save the world
