I'm not sure if this is a Muslim belief.

Is there a belief in Islam that a person has like two angels (one on there left and another on their right) that record all the good and bad things a person does through out there life and that when a person dies depending on the amount of good and bad things are recorded if one amount is greater then the other that will determine what kind of afterlife the person will have?.Thank you very much so for your replies and time.

Yeah it is, but it’s a little different.

If you are a muslim, you will go to heaven, but if your muslim& your bad outweighs the good then you will go to hell for a time to be rid of the bad then go to heaven. This would be the muslim purgatory

But if your a christian or jew, and your good outweighs bad you’ll go to heaven, if the opposite then you will go to hell forever.

If you do not follow the god of abraham, there’s no hope at all

According to the teachings of Islam anyway:P

Almost there. If your a muslim you can either go heaven or hell depending on your deeds carried out on earth. Ultimately after “serving your time” in hell you will be allowed in heaven. the same applies to true christains and jews according to the muslim faith i.e those who accept Jesus (pbuh) as a prophet and not as son of god.
If you do not have faith you cannot go heaven full stop, no matter how many good deeds you have done on earth. and before anyone criticises this, just remember i could spend all my life doing good deeds, helping the poor etc, but im going to hell cos i dont believe Jesus is the son of god. at least thats what you lot are saying.

That is not what the Catechism of the Catholic church teaches. Belief in Christ in both His humanity and divinity and following His commandments by receiving Him in faith and Sacrament is the normative way to heaven. But Catholics are not to judge who gets in and who stays out. God’s mercy is His to give and He has proven that He wants all in heaven with Him through His passion, death and resurrection. We must leave it up to Him while doing our best to follow Him in love.

It is not possible to do good without faith in God because all good comes from God.
Those whose good works outweight the bad ones know God and Christ, they would not be able to do it without Faith… They just perhaps don’t articulate it in common known languages and books, but they certainly know the eternal Word.

According to the teachings of Islam, Christians and Jews will go to hell no matter what they do. You should look that up. Islam does not believe Christians and Jews will ever go to Heaven.
