I’ve spent that past several months being away from Christ and His Church. I experienced depression, anger, and all sorts of other things that ultimately culminated in my wife leaving me for someone else some 10 days ago.
What almost instantly helped me with 90% of the pain is going and making a good Confession.
I to suffer from depression and on medication for it. I understand where you are coming from. Please don’t ever get to the point of despair it is what the devil wants you to get to the point of feeling like nobody cares about you, talk with your doctor. Your priest might be able to suggest things that you can do to help with your parish volunteer for the church or other parish related things.
Most of all pray for our Loving father’s help. Ask,seek, knock and it shall be opened to you.
I need to be honest here: I thought I was going to be told to get over it on here, but the support of you all means a lot. I was thinking of buying a satanic shirt, but thank God I didn’t. Thank you all
I don’t smoke dope, I was smoking cigarettes, for your information, and I do have help. Thank you, but you’re the first one who is a bit condemning, no offense
There is a great book that I think GOd led me to through a devout woman with clinical depression.
The book is in every library and is only $5 on Christian books .com/
It is called Feeling Good by David Burns. It is not specifically Catholic but it definitely Christian in orientation. It is a practical book to change your thinking . TRY IT! I guarantee it will help,
I refer to it a few times a month and have purchased numerous copies to hand out.
Will keep you in my prayers and I think the concern you have been given shown points to altruistic love ,a true proof for God!
Praying !
No. That’s my advice.
I’ve been there many a time.
It takes strength to pull yourself up…and out…etc
I have found - over and over - time after time -
a good nights sleep - does wonders
I think there’s a scripture that says
His joys - are new every morning…
