St. Ignatius encourages us to use our God given imagination when meditating on Scripture and praying about it. But what if we took it a step further?
For example, a couple of times now after I have prayed either The Little Office of The Blessed Virgin Mary or praying for forgiveness or just in general times of distress or confusion, I imagine I’m standing or kneeling in front of Jesus and Mary. Mary is sitting on the chair I have in my bedroom and I’m resting my head in her lap while she strokes my hair. I imagine I give Jesus a big hug. I feel such peace and love in my heart when this happens.
Is this also prayer? Is this communication?
