IMHO Science cannot prove God

Science was (and it continues to be now) one source of proof for me that God the Father and God the Son exists.

I particularly enjoy astrophysics, astronomy, landsat photography, paleontology, biblical archeology and ancient history.

AMEN!!! Add geology, quantum physics, molecular and evolutionary biology to that list too!

No, science will never be able to directly prove nor disprove God. But (as should be expected if Christianity is true), all scientific evidence in one way or another points to the reality of the Christian Triune God. See my second signature quote.

**Pope Benedict XVI wrote;

"We are dealing here with the vast question as to how we can and cannot know God, how we are related to God and how we can lose him.

The arrogance that would make God an object and impose our laboratory conditions upon him is incapable of finding him.

For it already implies that we deny God as God by placing ourselves above him, by discarding the whole dimension of love, of interior listening; by no longer acknowledging as real anything but what we can experimentally test and grasp.

To think like that is to make oneself God. And to do that is to abase not only God, but the world and oneself, too."**

“Jesus of Nazareth” Papa Benedictus XVI, (p. 37)

This is why Dawkins, Hawkins, et. al. are so full of it when they imagine they have accomplished this task. Science can only deal with what our senses or their instrumental devices can detect and measure. There is more use of faith in determining the meaning of what they measure than most would care to admit. Their declarations as to God’s non-existence are also based solely on faith; a sort of anti-God theology.👍

From my understanding of what was on the site mentioned above, atheists do not see their unbelief as faith-based, but a result of scientific reasoning- a combination of the Null Hypothesis (scientific treatment of claims where the scientist starts with the default position of the claim being incorrect until irrefutable proof surfaces that the claim is indeed correct) and Occam’s Razor (the simplest explanation is usually the correct one, the simplest being the one with the fewest new assumptions). In other words, if God does exist there would be test results and/or irrefutable proofs that He exists. Since there is none, the simplest explanation is that He doesn’t exist.
